CO2 Troubleshooting

Cut doesn't go all the way through

• Focus is high, re-autofocus.
• Lens is dirty (most common).
• Air pressure too high, blowing the cut closed before it finishes.
• Material moisture, wood especially varies; speed down 10%.
• Mirror alignment drifted, tape test.

Engrave is uneven across the bed

• Bed not level. Check with calipers at the four corners.
• Mirror alignment, beam losing power as it travels.
• Beam diameter changing across travel, lens centering.

Excess char on wood edges

• Air assist too low, increase.
• Speed too slow, increase. Drop power slightly to maintain cut.
• Mask the surface with painter's tape before engraving.

Acrylic edge is matte / fogged

• Air assist too high, drop it.
• Wrong acrylic, extruded looks matte; switch to cast.

Ruida won't connect to Lightburn

• Ethernet IP mismatch, controller IP and Lightburn IP must be on the same subnet.
• USB cable swap.
• Power cycle laser before opening Lightburn.
